You'll be playing a key role in building infrastructure to power the future of AI-driven operations 🚀

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in designing and building modern data systems that not only support strong governance and warehousing - but also enable rapid AI experimentation and productisation.

You'll come in and lead the Data Engineering function for the business. This isn't a role for someone that relies on a big Data Engineering team - you need to be capable of steering the ship yourself and having a huge impact in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and product teams to build and maintain data infrastructure that powers intelligent decision-making at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and feature stores to support AI/ML workflows
• Own the development of structured and unstructured datasets for training and inference use cases
• Implement and uphold data governance, cataloging, lineage, and privacy best practices
• Collaborate with AI teams to understand experimental needs and deliver appropriate datasets in automated, reproducible ways
• Maintain and optimize our client's modern data stack, including data warehousing and orchestration tools
• Shape the future of data architecture for real-time, batch, and streaming applications

What You Need To Bring

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering
• Experience working within a fast-paced start-up, owning the data engineering operations
• Strong background with SQL, Python, and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native data tooling (must have experience with AWS/GCP)
• Proven experience with tools like: dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, BigQuery, Kafka, Spark
• Familiarity with ML data workflows – building datasets for LLMs, CV models, time-series prediction, etc
• Exposure to MLOps tools like MLflow, Vertex AI, or SageMaker is a strong plus
• Deep understanding of data quality, versioning, and reproducibility in AI settings
